Snow White and the Huntsman, 2012 Universal

I decided to pick this film adaptation because oddly enough, it never occurred to me that this was an adaptation at all. I know that sounds silly, but “Snow White” isn’t exactly a book (which is what 391W mainly deals with): it’s a folk tale.

I saw the movie in theaters last summer, and thought it met all the expectations one would have of a “medieval war movie.” From a scale of 1-100, 100 being a movie made by God himself, this film scores a solid 75/100. I had the DVD rotting away inside its case for a while, so it’s the perfect opportunity to study the movie in earnest. It entered my house as an unwanted Christmas gift, but now it has finally found some use to me.

This page will be updated as I post more material.
